“Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but it gets you nowhere.” ~ Glenn Turner
Worry has to be one of the most common mental activities of all humans yet it is also the most unproductive.
When troubles concern us, what can we do to take our mind off worry?
- List your options and prioritize them
- Create a pro’s and con’s list to help make difficult decisions
- Create your intention: If you had the power to manifest your ideal resolution, what would it be?
- Through prayer and meditation focus your attention on the solution
- Do what is within your power about the situation and then surrender it – have faith in the outcome.
Worry is the mind’s way of focussing on our fears, our ‘what ifs’. Did you ever notice that we never ‘what if’ positive outcomes? Worry is a bad habit. It can be changed by shifting your mental attention to the positive solutions you would like to create, taking the steps to that end and then letting go of the outcome.
