Would you agree that there is always more than one perspective on any given situation? Isn’t that why three people can witness the same event and have different takes on what happened. How do we perceive our life circumstances? Is it possible that we unknowingly choose a perspective based on our fears?
There are four main ways in which we look at the world through a lens of fear. Our emotional angst is always born of our fear perspective. Whenever we are in angst, it is like an energy drag pulling at our emotions and stifling our actions. These four energy blocks manifest in assumptions, interpretations, limiting beliefs and our inner critic.
I challenge you to witness your thoughts over the next few weeks and see how your lens of fear affects your view of reality.
- You get upset because of an ASSUMPTION you make about a situation
- Your INTERPRETATION of a happening leaves you distressed
- Your BELIEF is that you cannot achieve something due to your age, finances, education or other circumstance
- You hear that critic in your head that tells you that you are not good enough, not worthy or not capable and therefore cannot do _____
When you consider your dreams and aspirations and honestly look at what is holding you back, you will find your lens of fear. Over the next few weeks we will look closer at each of the four energy blocks and how you can change your perspective to better serve you.
